This is a size guide to buying your espadrilles before you can know what your best option in terms of the size number. Espadrille is a type of footwear which is normally set to the foot, and the fabric is given of itself when used, so normally although at first may seem to go too tight, after half an hour have adapted perfectly to the foot.

However it is advisable to purchase the number of size that is usually used in other types of footwear. If a size number is always used, then no problem, you can buy that size. However many people happens that are between two sizes and sometimes buy a next higher size depending on which shoes or brand is. For example there are people who may have a size 40 and a half and sometimes buy 41 or 40 depending on the shoe or the brand, as previously discussed.

Size Guide: What is my size?

We recommend to buy our espadrilles with shoe size number always used, in the case of not being between two sizes. In case you are between two sizes, we advise the customer to measure the foot from heel to toe that stands out more, and tell us what is the measure.

Instep and heel size

Another issue that is usually treated on the subject of size and especially footwear that is closed at the front, is the size or looseness of the fabric on the instep and heel. We, being making handmade espadrilles, we have in mind. Normally sewing patterns that are designed to use standard foot sizes, ie insteps that are the most abundant among the population. But there are people whose insteps and heels are much wider or narrower than normal and then the number of shoe size does not fit to their instep or heel. These people before choosing and purchase their espadrilles should take this into consideration and let us know beforehand. We, if you tell us your size of instep or heel, we can adapt the espadrille changing the pattern for only a small increase in the final price, five euros. If the person does not tell us about it, we are not responsible for any claims and returns.

In any case, total return costs by problems of size, looseness or strictures are charged to the customer.

We have chosen to send our customers a special thread to sew in order to give the option to make the arrangement yourself (or a professional person of their environment) in the case of looseness or narrowness heel. It is easy to do for someone with sewing skills. And economic. Cheaper for the customer than return costs.

Choosing size

Similarly, if a person choose a size and then realizes that it is not correct,  should take into account the conditions of returns we have.

Being our company, Walk Heart, about a product as special as the artisan product, we are pleased that the customer feels comfortable with a shoe that fits perfectly to their foot and give all facilities for it, but also the customer should be aware that being an online store there are some limitations as to the impossibility of espadrille previously tested to see if it fits their foot, so we provide this size guide.

Our experience tells us that most customers are satisfied buying the size that normally use in their daily lives.
